Expected Student Learning Results (ESLR)
The mission of the San Diego County Regional Occupational Program is:
To prepare a diverse high school and adult population, 16 years and older,
for employment, occupational changes and future education.
As a result of this mission, students at the completion of their ROP experience will:
Demonstrate occupational knowledge and skills by:
- Acquiring occupation specific competencies
- Accessing and using technology and information
- Practicing occupational safety standards
- Thinking critically and solving problems effectively
- Using basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, listening and speaking as they relate to occupation specific skills.
- Attaining awareness of all aspects of related industries, including planning, management, finances and labor issues.
- Applying knowledge to real world problems and situations
Demonstrate appropriate workplace basic skills and behavior by:
- Working independently and collaboratively
- Communicating effectively and appropriately
- Performing reliably and responsibly
- Respecting diversity
Demonstrate job acquisition skills with an awareness of career options and lifelong learning opportunities by:
- Completing an appropriate resume and job application
- Modeling job interview techniques
- Attaining awareness of advanced career and educational opportunities and the need for continuous education.
